BIO.

Hello.

My name’s Jackson.

I am finishing my master’s degree in Multidisciplinary Design at OCAD University in the Spring/Summer of 2025.

Multidisciplinary is such a vague term, so let me give you an example.

My thesis work is a speculative design research project being completed in collaboration with homeless residents of a public park in Toronto. In ‘Humane Design for Homeless Populations’ (HDHP), I’m engaging product design and a wide variety of complex fabrication processes, research design to conduct interviews & codesign sessions, graphic design by default (I’m an artist at heart), and UX design with interactive, electronic components in prototypes. I can even add umbrella terms like “Discursive” or “Empathetic” design, under which my project would fall.

All of my work draws from a variety of disciplines, so, for simplicity’s sake, I like to say Multidisciplinary Design.

You should check out my portfolio page, maybe even take a peek at my illustrations if you’re feeling fresh.
